Chicken Tenders Po' Boy

Directions:In a pie pan or other flat dish, mix the flour and all of the seasonings. Lightly beat the egg and the water in another flat dish. Set aside. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Grill the hot dog buns. When golden brown, put the buns on serving plates and set aside. Add about 1/2 inch of canola oil to the skillet. Place each chicken tender in the egg wash then dredge in the seasoned flour. When the oil is hot, fry the chicken 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Place 2 chicken tenders in each hot dog and sprinkle with the shredded mozzarella. Top with some shredded lettuce and sliced tomato. |
