Candied Pecan Halves

Ingredients:

2 cups water
2 cups sugar
4-6 cups pecan halves

 

Directions:

Boil water; add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the pecans and continue to cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until pecans are covered and liquid is evaporated. Place pecans in one layer on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350° F. oven for about 10 minutes or until the pecans turn whitish in color. Cool completely before packaging in plastic bags or tins.

Yield: 4-6 cups of pecans
