Mushroom and Onion Topping For Beef

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
1 Yellow Onion -- sliced and separated into rings
4 Green Onions, Including Some Tender Green Tops -- sliced
1/2 pound Fresh Mushrooms -- sliced
3 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Parsley
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 tablespoon Red Wine -- Optional
1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper to Taste

 

Directions:

In a skillet, over medium-low heat, melt butter.

Add onions and sauté stirring frequently, 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and parsley and sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes longer. Add Worcestershire sauce, wine, soy sauce, salt, and pepper and sauté until ingredients are blended, 2 minutes longer.  

Serve immediately over steak or other beef.
